Dear Parents,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to The Riverbend School.

Our school was formed in July 2010 out of the merger of Eliot Montessori School (since 1971) and Natick Montessori School (since 2000) to capitalize on the many synergies between the two former programs. A shared mission of utilizing the best principles of the Montessori philosophy is at the foundation of this newly merged entity. As a former teacher at Eliot Montessori, and the founder of Natick Montessori, I am uniquely prepared to bring the vision of the Riverbend School to fruition.

At Riverbend, our educational environment promotes self-awareness and individual discovery through hands-on investigations. We nurture academic and social development, and emphasize active and strong relationships within our community. Each day, we strive to create innovative ways to maximize our students’ learning and be a source of inspiration for them. We believe that our role as educators is not just to give our students knowledge now, but to teach them how to learn for life.

Our vision for Riverbend School in the coming years is an exciting one. Building on the strength of our programs, we will be creating a unified campus on our five-acre parcel of land at 33-35 Eliot Street utilizing state-of-the-art, LEED certified buildings. In the meantime, we will continue to provide our innovative programming to our students through our dual campuses.
