Middle School After School Programs

Extended Day

Our Extended Day program is available to all Riverbend students. Less structured than the regular school day, it allows children to enjoy a healthy balance of free play and organized activities, with plenty of time outside on our playgrounds, weather permitting. A snack is provided each day.

Students can play board games or engage in free play, listen to stories or quietly read on their own. Many like to make imaginative creations with our well stocked arts and crafts supplies. For older students, Extended Day also provides a quiet place for homework.

Parents can register for a two-month session at a time, and can select customized drop-off/pick-up times that work best with their schedule. Space permitting, we also offer a daily sign-up option for parents who have not registered for a session but need additional hours of care.

After-School Enrichment Classes

Each semester, we offer a selection of popular enrichment classes, such as yoga, cooking, Mandarin Chinese, chess and flag football team. These typically take place immediately after dismissal and are offered one or two times per week.

Before-School Care

Our Before-School program is ideal for families who need flexibility at the start of each day. Students enjoy quiet time, reading, unstructured activities and free play. Pre-registration is not required; this program is available on an as-needed basis.
