The Primary experience is a three-year program for children ages 3–6. Each carefully designed classroom is specifically arranged to maximize the benefits of this highly sensitive time for growth and brain development. The range of activities will satisfy both the youngest child’s interest in concrete manipulative materials and the older child’s increasing understanding of abstract concepts.
Our teachers organize materials based on curriculum areas and developmental needs. Practical Life activities enable the child to acquire a wide range of skills necessary in building positive self-image as a successful, capable person. Basic readiness skills and concepts necessary for reading, writing and math are developed in a sensorially rich program that integrates hands-on experiences with science, geography and cultural studies.
