Everything in the Toddler environment is precisely designed to support the needs of our youngest students. During this sensitive period of development, we give Toddlers a wide range of opportunities to master tasks and reach important milestones in their cognitive, physical and social/emotional development.
The transition from home to school is a big one at this age. That’s why we carefully plan our Toddler classrooms to be as warm and home-like as possible. From dustpans and brooms to sinks and coat hooks, everything is “Toddler size.” From sorting and matching work to practical life exercises, all activities are ready to be explored and mastered. All of this helps minimize frustration while building skills and self-confidence.
Toddlers learn by doing. We encourage them to touch, feel, listen and use all their senses to explore new things and follow their budding interests. Through their play, the Toddlers develop language skills, fine and gross motor coordination, visual discrimination, concentration and sense of order along the way. Every lesson and activity is purposefully created to help Toddlers achieve greater independence, one small step at a time.
